Five weeks ago my wife left..left me a note..after eight years, a fucking note..I was in shock..walked to the nearest shop..bought a bottle of scotch..got blind drunk..had been sober for over six years..when I sobered up I was just angry with myself..didn't have another drink for a few weeks..was going to a gig on saturday..felt I needed a couple of drinks, so bought scotch..filled my double hipflask and had a few wee snifters throughout the evening..no big deal at all..yesterday afternoon I went to the kitchen for something and there in a cupboard is my bottle..yeah..got it out and had a couple..then sat thinking about stuff for a while...outcome of which, get on with your life or get on with drinking yourself to death. So I went back in the kitchen, took my bottle of scotch and poured it down the sink..there's no moral to this story, no battle won nor lost. Next week or the week after..or six months from now..i'll no doubt find myself in a supermarket, staring at bottles of whiskey..next time I might decide fuck it and drink myself to death..I guess it won't take long, i'm in really poor health.

Sorry for your loss barney. I will spare you platitudes and advice, and just tell you that people here care about you.

Sending you good wishes. Breakups are in the big 4 of stress (with deaths, changing jobs, moving house) so cut yourself some slack if you need it.

Dang, i've not even found the single malt yet, and they've already got a dub version out.

I have only seen the honey version on a Russian site. Don´t know if it´s an official release? There seems to be a new Christmas version too

35% 70cl
BRAND NEW!

Distilled in the Great Northern Distillery, Dundalk - Ireland and aged in Bourbon oak.
Small batch triple distilled Single Malt Whiskey infused with Christmas spices.

Tasting Notes:
A blend of The Pogues Irish single malt whiskey, infused with Christmas spices.
On the nose, a luxurious aroma of rich Christmas fruit cake, candied peel and hints of cinnamon.
On the palate, this liqueur is rich, yet incredibly smooth and is best enjoyed neat or over ice.
Finish is long with fruity sweetness and spice (thinking Mince pies)
