My feeling is that anyone who posts it for $500 is delusional. Should have taken your c note, NJ.

I'm with you 100%, relief set in when I realised he was greedy, (though he did drop 50% lol ) I don't know how I woulda kept the missing c-note from the Mrs!

I was the buyer here Rich, not the seller. I've attempted to buy this book on numerous occasions over the years only to find out that there are different interpretations of book conditions. I inquired about a copy a few years ago, listed as being in "very good" condition for $100, to learn that the cover is held onto the book with tape. Another caveat emptor lesson.

I think I bought a gem. I'll soon find out.

Hey Dave, let me know when you get the book, I'm anxious to know the condition.

Rich, the anticipated package arrived today. The post-purchase doubt was erased as soon as I opened it. I don't mean to rub it in, but this book is like new. Someone has either REALLY taken care of it, or never looked at it.
The only thing that would make it more special to me would be 8 signatures in it.

I could come up with eight signatures pretty fast. Send it to me. I'll get you mine, the Lovely Mrs. DzM's, our neighbor's (and their kid's). Hmm. That's six.

...

Ummm.

I could take it into work and pass it around with the interns.

Problem solved! And let me say - You're Welcome!

Damn happy for you Dave! Enjoy it my friend and handle with care, sounds like you got the $600 version.....and good luck on the 8 signatures, (now your askin for a bit much)
don't wanna pry too much but was it from that rare bookseller shop that often posts up copies on Ebay? I'm just curious how legit they are in particular. I'll trade a few Bruce tixs if you want to part with it before Oct :) Hell I'll buy you a couple of Pogues tix too !

Yes, rare book cellars. I'm not an avid book buyer, but I have nothing but positive regards. Prompt inquiry replies, all questions answered, and I would say a damn-near bullet proof shipping package. Thanks, but no thanks on the ticket offers.

Well can't say I didn't try.....thanks for the heads up on the bookcellars. I notice they often carry the Pougetry book when it is listed on Ebay.
