Hello Carmen! Glad to see you're able to log in now!

No - kufen is demonstrating that his XBox is consuming the RSS (content syndication) of the fora and displaying the headlines on his TV.

For those of you unfamiliar with the technology, here's a brief description of what's happening:

All the articles/posts to the fora are placed into a database.
The data in the database is presented (currently) in one of two ways: via the web page (what you're looking at right now) and via syndication.

The syndicated presentation contains the basic information about each post:
Who posted it
When it got posted
What forum it's posted in
What the subject is
What the article itself is
This information is in a commonly understood format (Really Simple Syndication, or RSS) that "news aggregators" can consume and re-purpose to fit their own needs

kufen's XBox is running an aggregator that is consuming our RSS feed and displaying it on his television. This proves that kufen is a bigger geek than any of the rest of us (though to be fair I also have an aggregator running that consumes this feed along with several others at http://www.dzm.com/tmp/portal.html ).
Huh. This probably didn't help to make anything more clear.

I can't post on the "Announcements" bit so will have to second DzM's thanks on this thread. Great job, this forum has really taken off. Second cup of coffee in the morning, what would I do without checking what all of you are listening to at the moment?

Just consider that the kind of mistake the Puppet Masters don't make, but the Admin does. :(

I think it's fixed now.
