The lightbulb shaped icon is given to "sticky" topics - i.e. topics which always stay on the top of the fora, no matter if people post into them or not.

If you squint at it just so you'll notice it's a smaller form of the circle with text on it, and the an exclamation mark on the buttom causing the bottom blob of the lightbulb shape.

So ... umm ... See? Sticky! I guess.

Just noticed the 25th anny logo floating in the lower right is back. I'm using Safari, btw.

Inexplicably it had disappeared from the template. I made it come back.

Also note that the links to the rest of the site have come back, and the banner at the top of the page once again points to the front page.

I've not actually logged myself out at any point, it just seems to happen on it's own.

Could be that your browser is holding onto corrupt cookies (this is how session is tracked).

On the bottom right of this page is a link that says "Delete all board cookies". Bonk on that, then login again, and see if the behavior goes away.

It's done it again a few times tonight and I did what you said and it still logged me off again.

Ahh. Hadn't noticed that you use the ISP you do. The way they route traffic can break how the fora software does security checks.

I've loosened the requirements a little. Please let me know if the behavior persists.

The topic name is at the top of the page. The Post subject comes with each post. I may eventually make it a little smaller.

The other two points:
Name - Gone
Date - Bold

DzM, thanks for giving O'B's "On This Date" a separate thread for each date. Makes it much easier to read and appreciate. My poor auld browser could never really cope with it before. Excellent stuff.

Suggestion

Post Sun Feb 03, 2008 12:56 pm

User Feature:
I'd like too see a feature for prioritising our favourite threads so I don't have to scan and sort endlessly to find them in a hurry. Maybe it could be added onto the control panel as a user feature? Unsure how hard it would be but thought I'd ask anyway.

At the bottom of each thread/topic (way down at the bottom, keep look ... THere you go!) are two buttons: Bookmark Topic and Subscribe Topic.

You're welcome.

Email flakiness

Post Mon Feb 04, 2008 9:00 am

I think the email flakiness that we've been experiencing since December has now been fixed.

If you used to get email from Medusa when a PM was received and that stopped in December, please send yourself a PM now. If you don't get an email within a few minutes to tell you of the PM, please let me know.

Thanks

Fav. Threads

I do already subscribe to fav posts, though thanks anyway. I've 'bookmarked' fav. topics as suggested, but it's still limited in terms of viewing your favourites with all the other threads below, plus and you have to click into control panel to view. I guess I'm trying to maximise the user features (for my own selfish reasons). My initial suggestion was for a feature to prioritise say, 10-15 fav. topics so that when you click onto the board, it would allow you to display the threads with your top 10-15 showing first. Easy for me to say, huh?

Jenny, I like the topic subject being present on each post because it allows you to change the subject to your own thought without changing the thread, and is useful when members are having a runing conversation. So two people might write Re: Pensioner Cycle, and some others might be following a heated debate Re: Pollution of cars, all in the same thread. :)

but anywho, is it not still possible to do that "view posts since your last visit" thing? or am i just being unobservant (is that a word?) and its still there?
