The current theming is a work in progress. Some aspects of the previous design will slowly come back.
hmmm, I see the delete function is no longer available.

It's not? Will look into it.
What is a "BBCode", and why is it OFF?

BBCode is a simple markup language that allows you to make things bold, italic, etc. In theory it's invoked by the buttons you see above your composition window while typing, or by directly typing the codes (if you float your mouse cursor over the buttons above then the Tooltip will show you the syntax for that particular BBCode).
and -- how do I add my signature? sorry if this is all explained elsewhere, I figured this would be a good place to ask.

Edit your profile. Add a signature, then check the box that says "automatically append to posts" (or something along those lines).

Very cool, I love the new "foe" button!! I tested it in the Saga thread and it works!!! Don't ask who's the foe hehe!

Yikes! At first I thought I was on the wrong site. I'm sure this will all work out fine. Nice work as always, DzM.

Looks good.

I like links to open in a new window. Right now the links redirect you away from the page you are looking at. Just a preference of mine.

One more question: Is there a way of getting from the board index to the (non-fora) rest of pogues.com? There used to be a link to the front page, discography, bios etc., but it seems not to be there any more.

Unless I've gone stupid again. Which is always possible.

Those links are currently MIA. They will return soon.

Don't know what to make of the new look yet.

Post seem easier to read now though, but where have the smileys gone?

The site looks better already! I'll come back and play when I have more time.

Thanks DzM!

Below the text composition window is a (currently) powder-blue box labeled "Options." Make sure that "Disable BBCode" is not checked.

If it's always checked then somehow you've set it in your profile. Dig around in the "User Control Panel" (link on the upper left) to find your preferences. Uncheck the box there.

ok i see the powder blue options box but the only options listed are "do not automatically parse urls" and "notify me when a reply is posted"

i've got "yes" set on the "enable bbcode" option in the user control panel
