Site feedback?

Post Tue Oct 05, 2004 10:58 pm

The fora have been available since November 2003. That's a long enough time to figure out what we like and don't like.

What would you change about them if you could? Would you group together topics on the front page (e.g. fewer top level topics)? Would you do away with threading entirely (e.g. make it a long scrolling page with new messages on top)? Eliminate registration? Eliminate anonymous posting?

This resource is here for your enjoyment. Help me to make sure it fits your needs.

Thanks!

DzM

I might do away with some of the topics that get no to very little threads started in them. Also some could be eliminated since they can be discussed just as easily in the "misc" topic.

I definitely think threading is the way to go. Personally I don't like those long pages that you have to scroll through to read everything.

I don't think the forum is active enough yet to eliminate anonymous posters. Although it might make people stop and read the board before posting the same question that has already been asked multiple times.

I agree that threading is the way to go for the forum. Having organized topics is always better than having to scroll through pages and pages of what can sometimes be just rants.....
Also I've noticed other band forums have an area for traders to post their lists of shows with wants etc.....Although I'm not sure if anyone else would be interested in this type of a forum other than for a few of us....
Other than that, I think it is organized well and is easily accessable.
Keep up the good work DZM!
Cheers

Hi DZM and fellow Poguers!

I think the forum is fine as it is today.

I'm with Fyllo: the forum is fine as it is. And threading is its plus feature!

And I agree with Bala: registration should be upheld, but elimination of anonymous posters is not rational now...

What does "bitch in" mean?

I feel so washed up now.

i think all the members forums should be grouped together into one and and all of the side-projects forums should be grouped into one.

Aha! That makes so much more sense. Now I only feel slightly old and washed up.

I thought I was missing some spiffy new lingo - "Yo, that dope is stupid phat! That bitch in!"

Born January of 1971. That makes me (right now) a very washed up thirty-three years old.
