Photo Gallery now available

I am very delighted to announce that after much hard work scouring The Internets, private collections of photos, back catalogs of CDs, LPs, singles, etc. the <i>Medusa</i> team has finally made available a pretty darned spiffy photo gallery.

At present the gallery has more than 800 images in it covering just about every catagory of Pogues Joy we can think of. If you (yes, YOU) have images you want to share, please mail them to our crack staff of highly trained editors at: photos@pogues.com.

While Kufen and I both contributed a little to this effort, the lion's share of the research and editing has been done by Zuzana and MacRua. A huge "thanks" to the two of them for their persistence in the face of hard work and a slacker janitor not finishing the behind-the-scenes work in a timely manner.

The gallery is now available by bonking on "Photos" on the menu bar at the bottom of the screen, or by visiting:

Is it possible that the gallery could have some type of icon (similar to the fora) indicating new pictures or maybe, on the front page of the Photo section, a note with the date of the last added picture?

Sadly no. Not right now.

Under albums that have been updated there is a box that will say "Updated". Under new image thumbnails there will be a box that says "New". Right now, though, there is no easy way to find out _when_ they were updated (except to know that that tag will be there for seven days since the last change), nor to know specifically which items were changed.

Hopefully at some point I'll be able to provide a mechanism that will make it easier for you to find just the new items.
