Wow. I understood a little of what you were saying DzM, but the real entertaining part was just reading all of that technical stuff thrown together all at one time. I feel like we are all undergoing some kind of organ transplant or something. God... all of our little electronic personalities could just be blown away with a power surge, or a cracked board, or a mistake of some kind..... Good luck man. :)

May Saint Elias watch over this hardware update.

So here we are then. Server A has been running for almost two hours and all is basically well.

More better RAM, more better hard drive, more better operating system. Now I can finally start working on ironing out some of the glitches that have cropped up over the alst month (I haven't been able to do this since I was unsure if they were due to crappy old hardware in Server B, or were configuration issues with the new OS).

Next big challenge: Even newer more better operating system, updated web server software, newer CPU (right now a AMD Athlon 1.2GHz - would be nice to have at least a AMD Athlon 2.0GHz or (even better) an AMD Opteron 64-bit 2.5GHz). But those are projects for later this year. Maybe July or something.

Anyway - Yay!

Yes, if I understood DzM's post.

Since around 14:00PST, Jan 8 we have been running on Server A. The horror that was Server B is now behind us. I'm looking forward to putting a bullet through that piece of crap.

Yes, put a bullet through Server B and then exhibit it together with the skeletons of unicorns as the "Victims of the Grand Moving Operation". Also throw in the old harddrive and a handful of 100% genuine fur from fluffy bunnies. Charge admission to view the marvelous spectacle and voila, you have quick money for the CPU upgrade... ;)
