Well that sucked hard.

Some unattended processes ate up all the storage of Gir. That took some fixing. And once that was fixed I discovered that having the drive fill up damaged the database that sits behind our lil' raft. After an hour or two of repairing and rebuilding, though, we seem happy and healthy again. Finally, our global nightmare is over.

This site has been running since ... 1996? Good lord. Now I feel oooold.

The fora have been around since ... Nov of 2003.

Sadly I don't have nearly the time to put into it as I once did, so in a sense I have gone off-grid. Today though? Nope. Just airplane travel kept me away from noticing and/or fixing.

Speaking of which - I'm in L.A. until Thursday afternoon. Wed night I may be available for beer buying. Anyone available? I'll buy the first round (and any random number of followup rounds).
