Do you have a problem with my children posting?

Surely she didn't mean it that way. Even if she did, the rest of us certainly don't. :)

The annoying argumentative people may be missed by the noisy few, but not by the silent majority.

Just to clarify, since everyone seems to have developed a thin skin and are keen to see some sort of personal attack in every post, I don't think DzM is any of those things. Except for being a man-boob-feeler. That's true and I stand behind it.

I thought a little satire at the expense of the "aggrieved parties" was appropriate there. All those terms were posited as descriptions of either The Boss or his Minions by others here on Medusa, the ingrateful so and sos.

As Mr Chevron told me once, this isn't the Magna Charta, it's just an internet forum. So hang loose, fellow babies. Dig me?

Now, about my boob size. I am not now, nor have I ever been, a c-cup. A b-cup at most.

 Well, I just would like some good conversation without fear of it being ripped to pieces/split/moved. We're all adults here (or were until Clash brought in his children, but that's another argument), and really, I can't understand why some things have been censored. I can't be bothered going back over previous stuff, but the evidence is there. Also what I find hilarious obviously isn't funny to others here, but does that mean that my posts have to be removed?? Is this a cultural thing? Do Australians have such a different sense of humour? I wouldn't have thought so. Just this morning I have noticed that another of my posts has been removed from yesterday. I thought it was funny. It must have been thought offensive, and I can't repeat it here cos it will just get removed again from the Shopping List thread. Truly in my opinion, a very mild and funny little piece of tripe, sure, but not worth deleting. And in this current climate on Medusa, ie B O R I N G, I would have thought anything a teensy bit funny would be welcomed. And yes I generally like it here and don't wish to fuck off, but my interest is lagging and I'm not the only one who feels like this. I've had enough of all the log book entries here, they seem to be where the main activity is.

DownInTheGround that is very nasty of you to say that those like me who are more outspoken, wouldn't be missed. You're certainly not one of the silent majority, dead as you may well be. Or are you a worm?

I often have the "I thought it was funny, but nobody laughed" problem. It's something I've fought my entire life. What I don't do is assume I'm correct.

I always considered Medusa to be among the least problematic and friendliest fora I posted on. Irritating and surprising to read that there are people who think otherwise.

Not me! I think all good parents should encourage their kids to be involved in the things they think are important. You've introduced your kids to the Pogues, taken them to see the band live and encouraged them to post on medusa - you are such a cool parent; which obviously means I am too.

soulfinger junior is too busy revising for his GCSE's to post but he sends regards to all, especially johan and he'll see various medusans again at xmas hopefully.

Yes. Well I wouldn't call it a problem, I just wouldn't have thought that an adult forum is the place for a 6 year old to be perusing.

OK, so I'm not taking the piss or anything...but why don't you just go back and read... and then post a relevant comment instead of posting that you have to "go back to read"? Just a thought.

Re: Gurrier ye hero!

To lose Gurrier from this forum is to put another nail in its coffin as far as I'm concerned. A shame that the colourful characters are leaving or post rarely (except for Oirish, thank Christ!!!) because there's only so much What Book Are You Reading that one can take. Even that black sheep moderator MacRua is mostly absent. At least with him there is the small chance of a decent argument.

Anyone who has questioned the running of this forum has been crucified, with all and sundry coming out of the woodwork to praise DzM instead of looking at the arguments with an open mind to possible change. Like one little comment from TheIrishRover yesterday brought forth "if you don't like it here then fuck off." No one needs to be told that, we all know we can refrain from the little click that brings us here, if that's what we want.

Gurrier you will be missed here, in fact your absence is already evident.

Well, yeah.. the question of coiloiurful characters ois oi a gooid oine..

Oi agree, you can never go wroing woith color, Oirish, but be careful when you wroite about what Medusa should and shouldn't be. What oif some other Medusan foigured that there should be no posts woith "oi" substoituted for "i" (sic)? Would that be a valoid croitoicoism (oooh, that's fun to type! :P ) as well? How about the croitoicoism that some Medusans who whoinge endlessly about proison aren't oincarcerated? That would be acceptable, yeah?

You know, typoing "oi" oinstead of "i" ois surproisoingly easy to adapt to.

Well, Oi doidn't quoite mean oit loike that. What Medusa should be is oirrelevent, and you at least have the use of your prose style and proison conceoit.

Oi think Oi'm actually oin a worse posoitioion. Oit woill be a full year before I am allowed any freedom, as I have no holoiday or soick toime, and woill not have untoil March of next year. Proison is proison, Serboia or no.
