You're thinking of "Release" from "Volume 2: Release"

Afro Celt Sound System is a great band. I own....

Volume 1: Sound Magic
Volume 2: Release
Volume 3: Further In Time
Seed
Anatomic

My favorite would be Volume three, I love all types of world music including african. Ali Farka Toure, Amadou et Mariam, Seydu, Konono N1, and many other great African bands. So the mix of the different genres makes for some very interesting music.

They made some very good records, but I think they also made a couple of real duffers- namely, Pod and Anatomic.

They've played at the HebCeltFest a couple of times, they closed the festival this year, but unfortunatly i have missed both time. This year I had to go away on the Saturday morning to play in some football competition. Wish I saw them.

Hello,

Does anyone know how I can contact James McNally? My mum has asked me too, as they were childhood friends, James taught my mum how to play the whistle but she has about as much musical capabilities as a dead camel. James also played at my parents wedding, and my mum and dad who were very good friends with James lost contact with him a few years after he played at the wedding. This christmas I got a tin whistle and have been practising and it reminded my mum and dad about james and they wondered if we could contact him somehow. I know James used to play at the favorite in highbury with Macmanomon, and too prove my story to james, your first little band was named after some mountains in County Mayo, Joseph Gaughan of Yoakly road also would like to say hello.

I don't know if James still plays with the Afro-Celts or not, but if so, they may have a website through which you can contact him. Failing that, try the record company who released Everybreath, his solo album, as they will certainly have a current address on file (for the payment of royalties) and to which your message can be forwarded. Personally, I have not seen or heard hide nor hair of him since 1994, but I hope he is hale and hearty.
