I've heard mention of this group a few times, here & there. What i can't find out is if they ever released anything (singles, albums, demos), song titles, who else was in the band... i've found this on ebay, & was wondering if it was them (no date, which doesn't help).

Not sure if Storm ever released anything. A cassette maybe??? Anyway, they were resolutely STORM, not A Storm or The Storm or Theee Storm. Just Storm. Made a helluva sound for 2 people.

I think Philip's right and there was only ever a cassette issued. I'm not sure if I have it stashed away somewhere or not. I think I saw them twice -- once at a festival and another time (if I recall correctly) supporting The Pogues.

It looks like there's an American cock-rock group called Storm -- which might be the album available on ebay :)

There is an Irish compilation cd called "Celtic Spirit" or something like that with a Storm tune called 90102 or something like that. Tom plays a nylon string guitar. As Mr C said, One helluva sound.

Fucking hell.. Mr Murphy must have taken a day off from his law making. It was in the first place I looked. The tune is called "4610". I'd forgotten how good it was.

Here's to Tom.

The only time I ever heard Storm was when they opened for The Pogues feat. Joe Strummer in October, 1991 at the Warfield in San Francisco.

I spent years looking for music by them in local record shops. Nothing was ever found (unless you count the hair-metal that's preiously been pointed at). Years of sadness followed.

Yes, they guested on that track. I bought the whole Marxman album on the basis of that, but wasn't fussed about the rest of it. :) Donal Lunny's son was in Marxman. Half the band came from Ireland and the other half from Bristol!
