Frank Murray

Does anyone know if Frank Murray ,(the at one time Pogues manger ) ever record any songs
I have come accross the 7'' FRANK MURRAY Irish Rebel 1968 & wondered if they were the one & same Frank Murray or simple share the same name.

No relation, so far as I know.

No loss the 7" is well worth owning .
But still it would have been great to hear Frank sing on a record .

Don't you believe it.

But if you're really curious what he sounds like, he does a bit of "Thousands Are Sailing" at a soundcheck in one of our movies/DVDS, either Town And Country or Completely Pogued. And no, I don't know why.

Sad news all round in a short space of time with Shane's mother being tragically taken as well. I met Frank Murray just the once, and I found him to be charming.
There's a really brilliant story involving Frank in Calum Bruce's latest book ( Hibs and The Pogues) which shows his good natured side, when a fan turned up at his office one day.
There's no doubt that Frank pushed the band to the limits, especially with all the touring. But I think overall he did well for them. The finances were perhaps another matter, but he seemed like a good bloke. God bless and rest in peace Mr. Murray.
