Like Springsteen said, "57 channels and nothing on.."
so I checked out the On Demand Music Section (Comcast Cable).
They have a selection from Jools Holland show.
There is a particularly great one featuring Joe Strummer and Warren Zevon
c. 2000 I think. Joe (and the Mescalaro's) do London Calling, Tony Allen,
and another song (Mescalros era). Zevon does "Werewolves of London",
dropping Strummer's name into the lyric's "saw Joe Stummer walking with
the Queen...." and they show Joe singing on the side. Joe closes the show
with "I Fought the Law" with Zevon on piano. Joe also prods Tracy Chapman
into to singing along. Wonderful and eerie at the same time.
I feel very fortunate to have seen both of them perform during there
all too short lives. (Unfortunately, Zevon hadn't written "Hit Somebody"
yet, which is the all time greatest rock song about Ice Hockey).
