Maybe they didn't consider him "British", which is fair enough as I'm pretty sure he'd rather be known as Irish anyway.

I'm quite happy with that list as they've got all three of my favorite English lyricists: Kirsty MacColl, Billy Bragg, and Paul Heaton. But IMO Our Kirst was definitely the best songwriter of her generation.

I wish I'd done biology for an urge within me wanted to do it then
