Sharp dressed man

Post Wed Apr 26, 2006 12:30 pm

I was listening to 93.1 in Los Angeles the other day (don't usually listen to that particular radio station, but I was bored with the wallpaper on KCRW and was flipping stations) when I heard ZZ Top's 'Sharp Dressed Man' and wondered why it sounded so familiar, until I realized how like Rainbow Man it was.

Are you surprised that ZZ Top never accused you guys of stealing their melody? But then again, they probably never heard the song. Maybe next time you guys play, add Sharp Dressed Man as a segue to Rainbow Man.

There was an ice cream truck coming around my street earlier today playing what sounds a lot like the jig part to Waxies Dargle in that cheesy ice cream truck chime. You got to hear it to find this hilarious!

I expect to see Spider Stacy serving ice cream to little kids while bangin' his head on a beer-tray as an added bonus.
