According to facebook's iLike app, tickets for Oct. 17th at Club Nokia were going on sale today via Ticketmaster. However, TM has NO Pogues shows for sale ANYWHERE. Anyone know the whole truth and nothing but?
Cheers,
Dave

At this point no dates have been publicly confirmed. There are just the hints that Philip has provided earlier. If there are tickets going on sale today via TicketMaster then there has been a pretty massive break in communication or somebody has accidentally jumped the gun.

I dunno about "the whole truth," but Goldenvoice (CA promoters) put up a listing for this show a couple of days ago, then pulled it down almost immediately.

On pins and needles here, DzM. Some of us have complicated personal schedules to sort out

I wish I could help you resolve those complex social schedules. Alas, it is extremely rare that I know anything of dates that the rest of you don't also know.
I suppose the best advice for social scheduling right now is to keep most of October and early November open. "I'm sorry (Sir|Madame). While I would ordinarily by available for the orphans, I'm afraid that at this moment I have that five-week period penciled in for another event. Best wishes to Ms. Annie."

Damn. I always hate delivering the bad news. I'm in such social demand, don't you know.

Hello all,
This is my first post on the forum. I just stumbled across it today. I am a huge Pogues fan from B.C. Canada and I am overjoyed that they are (reportedly) going to play Seattle in Oct. If I can scrape together the cash, I might just try and see the Portland show as well, though I suppose that might just put a dent in my GPA...

Welcome aboard C J.....I would agree with Phro here, take an extra day or three. A few years from now you'll be glad you did over the few classes you miss!

Just transfer to America. The exchange rate for a Canadian GPA ought to be pretty favorable for you these days.

Agreed. In retrospect, I'd give up a few of my As for a great time at a Pogues concert. Go for it!

Thanks for the warm welcomes. If I can afford it, I will seriously consider taking the trip to Portland. I went down there to see Social Distortion a few years back and had a blast.
I'm so excited for this tour, I've seen too many concerts to count but never the Pogues; they are the band I most want to see. I hope the setlist is similar to their most recent ones because the lists for those shows are outstanding.

I'm still getting used to the forum, the post above mine is from me. I really hope they don't play the Showbox Sodo though, it's a bad place to see a show.
