I honestly don't know. These things take time - Pogue time.

Okey, dokey. Get out a map and a calendar. Scroll through the thread.... The tour starts on or about October 10th, got that? The tour only goes October 10-November 1. Scroll a bit more... The tour starts in Seattle. Draw a line from Seattle through Portland and ending in San Francisco. I'm just gonna take a stab at this and guess that they won't go Seattle > New Orleans > Denver > Phoenix > Portland > Austin > San Francisco  Glance back at your calendar.

Is that enough guidance?

Always helpful. I seem to remember walking the streets of Seattle in the rain... with a certain California couple, discussing the venue location.... "I've got a map from Google - we're going this way...or is it the other way completely?"

Of course, it doesn't help that there are 2 (count 'em) Showbox venues in Seattle. The Showbox Sodo is a concrete floored barn located south of Quest Field, and the other one, Showbox at the Market, is up by Pike Place market - watch out for those flying fish!

Actually, The Pogues opened their last west coast tour in Seattle, with 2 shows to boot. To be fair, you weren't along for the ride that time. But hopefully, you will be this time, 'cause we're planning on bringing all 3 kids!

Um, hoping it'll be another all-ages show...

Just thinking out loud.....If the tour starts northwest, and swoops around the southwest heading east,....Halloween in the crescent city would surely provide a few Kodak moments. Just not the voodoo festival please.

Well yes, but we've also played New Orleans and Austin in the past. I was just trying to give a general sweep.

Just as a matter of interest - why not the Voodoo Festival?

We would love to see the Pogues in the PHX. The Marquee Theater (actually on the boarder of Phoenix and Tempe) would be a perfect Pogue venue. Its just accross the river (man made) from the University with bars and great lodging walking distance. But any venue would be fine with all Phonicians. Phoenix is a wonderful place in the fall to visit. Hope it works out!!

I suppose it's a matter of my advanced age Philip 8)
The idea of 30,000 people at a concert, (with most screaming for the set by someone like Lil' Wayne,) just doesn't appeal to me.

I hear you on the advanced age thing, though frankly, I've hated festivals all my life. Incidentally, I'm told they are expecting up tp 120,000 at Voodoo, not 30,000.
