Who´s going to stand in for Philip on the Christmas Tour? James Walbourne is now a Pretenders member and they´ve just released a new album so I guess he´s busy... or?
Spider, James....please let us know?

Don't you mean, stand in?
We all know that there is no-one can replace Philip, ever.

Well, sorry if my English is bad. I know no-one can replace Philip but I´d rather have someone playing the guitar than no one at all. If you listen to the Youtube clips from the summer festivals you know what I mean. After all, all I want is Philip to be in good health again.

James Walbourne is first and foremost a solo artist. However, when you are that fucking good you don't go unnoticed. Since I've known him he's been playing with Son Volt, The Pernice Brothers, Edwyn Collins, Me, Boz Boorer, Willie Nelson, Jerry Lee Lewis and many more. He's done the new Pretenders album, he's doing pretty much every show with us at christmas, he has a few unbreakable commitments so i think he's missing four. Don't ask me which. But we'll be rehearsing and playing as a seven piece on those nights. Me and him have been doing an album since about 1999. We've got two and a half tracks so far and some little bits of songs but that'll have to go on hold for the next 20 years or so as James has just signed a major deal in the US. Oh yeah, and we knocked out the music for that Bitey animation in a couple of hours one afternoon. In fairness he should be the monickered the 11th Pogue because of Kirsty & Joe, but then they were both 9th Pogues too...so maybe we'll give him the number 9 shirt after all.

Any chance of a clue?
Wigan without Amr Zaki would not be a pretty site, in all honesty the Pogues without a guitar player is not ideal really is it ?

Fortunately, I have just had a free transfer to Wigan FC.

God, you people are so irritating sometimes. Ignoring your comparison between ourselves and wigan, i didn't say that we would be playing without a guitar. We've got twice the amount of members as most bands, several of whom can play guitar.I think we're covered.
