Now, what's this about a cancellation?

Rainy Night will definitely be on the set list. As for Philly, i have no idea why we're not doing it this year. Next year for sure..

Any plans to come to the West Coast/Canada anytime soon? Unless I end up at grad school on the East coast, in which case you should stay on the East. I'll let you know so you can plan your schedule accordingly :D

But seriously. West Coast plans?

Less than 2 weeks until - ahh I've lost track of how many shows I've seen in the past few years! This is either #6 or #7. I feel so spoiled, but man do I love New York!

I hope the snow clears for the March shows. I hate walking in NYC when there's snow!

It's supposed to be in the 50s on Saturday, so it should be all melted by the weekend after...unless we get more next week!

I live about 60 miles north of Boston. It's cold and there is 2 feet of snow on the ground. Global warming MRIA.

I'm right in Boston and, yes, it is freezing-ass cold here (single digit temps last night/early this morning, and it doesn't feel ALL that much warmer now - probably high teens/low 20's)... However, they're talking about a big-time warmup coming... Gonna be in the 40's by Friday and mid-50's for Saturday/Sunday/Monday... They're talking about more of a springtime weather pattern settling in... Let's hope! But this is Boston, after all... Who knows what it will be like by March 20th/21st? The weather can change drastically in 5 minutes around here, let alone 2+ weeks! I'm really hoping for a great stretch of weather from now through the Pogues shows because I've got Flogging Molly coming up on March 10th and The Dropkick Murphys on March 12th and then, of course, The Pogues on the 21st... Keeping my fingers crossed! By the way, if people are looking for a cool place close to the HOB for before the show, I highly recommend a relatively new place (maybe been there 2 years, maybe less), The Lower Depths... It is on Commonwealth Ave., maybe a 5-minute walk from the venue... I especially recommend this place if you appreciate good, off-the-beaten-path beers... They also have pretty damn good food... The beers can be a little pricey, but I still definitely recommend it... My girlfriend and I discovered it last year after a Red Sox game and we both loved it... Only problem is it is not really a cool Irish pub, like I associate in my head with The Pogues... Best Irish pub in the area is probably Crossroads, which is on Beacon Street... This is a bit farther away, but I would be surprised if it weren't a main spot for people to go before the show... Great pub... Anyways, I'm looking forward to the show and I'm counting down the days! Later... -Paul

If anyone wants to meet up before any of the NYC shows, and knows where to go in the city let me know. I'm traveling from PA and will be there with just my girl for both shows. Any place near the roseland would be great not too familiar with the area. I love long walks and the beach and i love to drink before shows (just kidding about the beach), let me know.

Well, it looks like the Pogues are a much bigger band in Boston than U2. The Pogues will be playing two nights at the HOB with a 2000 seat capacity and
U2 will play the much smaller Somerville Theatre next week which only holds 900. :P

My info says 2500 at HOB, but I'm confident U2 will squeeze in 1000+ at the Somerville. That's if they ever finish playing the David Letterman Show, which is starting to look remote.
