Linky linky on the front page for pre-sale. And the other thread has been updated. And now this thread will be stickied and the other un-stickied.

It's also nice to see that it's no longer Too Damn Cold. :)

Or you could just erase the thread! Though in the interests of geopolitical harmony, perhaps we should call this the USA/Canda Tour or the North America Tour

Philip

Thankyou ever so much for the update, i have to rouse the rebels who can't afford the trip to NY??.....LOL..........The Canuckleheads up here are going to go "Guinness" like no tommorrow??.........................My bro-in-law "in Belfast" just told me yesterday that he and his lovely wife are also going to go see you guys in Belfast, he is a musician in his own way, and i finally opened his eyes to the music of the Pogues, not only The Pogues but to go back through the history of the Irish music scene, it is very unusual to see how so many back in Ireland have "had" missed so much of their own musical history. There has been a rather large awakening to the music and arts scene in Ireland, and so much for the better of it I'm sure. It was quite funny hearing what so many people in Ireland told me, maybe it much the same here, but it seemed like no-one really knows the music of "The Pogues", this can be understandable of course, but it always seemed like, we would hear??.................."oh they are the guys that did that Christmas song that plays every year"...........and of course they have no idea of what ever else you fellows have accomplished. I had my I-Pod with me in Ireland this year and i gave the family some eye opening, or should i say "ear opening sessions" with The Pogues, and they were very surprised at what they heard.

If i hear one more person tell me they love that song from the movie "Love You T'ill the End" and not know who produced it, i will be forced to drown them in "Guinness".....................

Anyway thanks again for the update and looking forward to seeing you guys now for three years in a row??

We are not worthy??.................We are not worthy??.........................HAH..................

Or, I guess, someone could merge them together.

Hey DZM

You wrote; "It's also nice to see that it's no longer Too Damn Cold. :)"

it was snowing here last night and we are only getting started with this winter thingy that afflicts all of us Canucks up here in the Great White North, I must say one thing this announcement is going to make my winter a shade less colder and I probably won't be suffering as much from cabin fever as we normally do up here??

Hell I'm so happy right now i could just do "snow angels" in the snow bank butt ass nekid??...................hah

Just wondering will just be happening to have another business trip coming east in a timely manner with The Pogues tour once again, as I'm wondering if you may be coming to the "The Great White North' to partake in the festivities once again??.......... :)

It was a rip hooking up with all of you guys last year in NY, can't say enough about how meeting so many Medusans was such a pleasure, looking forward to it all again??

I'm afraid I really don't know. The Company (All Praise The Company) announced a layoff last Friday of ~20%. At this moment I am unsure if I'm buying Christmas prezzies for people.

Sorry to hear that, this credit fiasco is hurting everyone, i work for the "General" and much of my future is up in the air as well, with them coming to Canada, it will be more affordable for us to go and see them, vis a vis NY once again??..........BUT being in New York for St Paddys day festivities is something special in its own way??

Here's hoping for all of us to keep our jobs in some form or another??................ :?

Just keep playing the music and the world seems to be a better place IMHO??.............

Time to get out the atlas and calendar once again! WHoo-hoo!!

Not sure which shows we'll be at this year - hopefully take in a few, though

DzM, - you know that no matter where we end up, there'll be a drink or two on the table for you! Hope you can make it!

Oh Philip...please please please...come back to Philly!!
I saw the tour dates and felt as if I've been punched in the stomach.

I've a slew of people who would join me in another night of Pogues revelry!

Cdn Steve,

Pardon me..but we have two kids now so that's not feasible!

And, besides, Philadelphia has a big Pogues following.
They'll likely sell the EF(or wherever) out.

Is there any chance of a show being added in Baltimore? I'm hoping for one night between DC and New York...

Hmm, which NY date to pick..I don't want to buy so soon and then Billy Bragg or someone I like opens another show. Decisions, decisions. haha. I'm thinking Friday night might be the one to pick though..

Oh my god I am so excited already. I'm planning on Boston, NYC, and Atlanta.

Are the Florida dates still up in the air or is that not happening now? I haven't read the whole thread yet, sorry.
