No Miami means Philly makes travel between the East coast cities a little easier. I think youse should do it.

I still think the Pogues should play in Vermont at this place:

Heard Langerado was cancelled. Too bad for the Florida people, I know a few who were planning to go. I thought that was a nice-sounding festival and would have seriously considered going if it had been on different dates.
I am still all set for Atlanta, DC, and Boston; NY is possibly iffy for me, might have to skip one night anyway. Not sure yet. Hope to see people from here around at any of those.

There was a rather lengthy discussion on local radio today regarding Langerado. A pinched economy? No.
Most of the callers blamed the poor ticket sales on the change of venue.
The concert has been held in the middle of the Everglades at Big Cyprus Seminole Reservation. Mainly, people wanting to get out of the city for a few days, pitch a tent and sing around a campfire.
Moving this concert to downtown Miami sounds like a shot in the foot for those responsible.

This guy gets around - I think I've seen him at every Pogues show I've ever been to. I'll make sure to say Hi next time.

I love how everyone criticizes the Philly fans. 2 years ago we had one of the worst ice storms in a decades and everyone showed up. The place was packed. The next year the place was packed also and it was one of the best shows ever. Why should I have to travel to New York or Boston to see my favorite band when the Pogues have the best fans right here in Philly.

The best fans travel to Philly from Cali, methinks

Nothing personal, of course
