Hi all, hope someone in the know may be able to clairify thies:

I bought a pair of tix for Roseland and they were sold as General Admission, but the tickets themselves have actual seat numbers on them. What's the deal here? Is it reserved seating or GA? I'm more concerned b/c another friend who'd like to join us bought his ticket seperately (thinking it didn't matter since it is advertised as GA) and of course, his ticket has a seat number in a different spot.

Thanks,

Dr. A

btw, this maks the fourth city for us to see the reunited Pogues: DC in 05, Philly in 06, DC & Baltimore last year and now NYC! Yee Ha

I'll have my pockets full of those little airline bottles of Irish whiskey again...they hit the spot, no?

See you at the rail!

Good times O'Blivion, good times

I don't think you will have any problem - there really are not any seats to speak of at the Roseland, except in the balcony, where access is restricted. I've always gotten general admission tickets for shows there (never noticed if they had seat numbrs, though), and once you get through the door, you've got the run of the GA area.

Yup Dr. A, Mr. Joyce is correct here. You will have so much fun! I love the venue. FYI, coat check and bathroom downstairs, take care of that stuff first. Plan a meet up at St. Andrew's before the show http://standrewsnyc.com/
Irishrose will buy you a bevvie.

Thanks guys, much relieved. I just moved to NJ this September from Maryland (which is why we've seen the boys in the previously mentioned cities), so we're using this as an excuse to bring my mates from MD up to the Big Apple for the show where they can crash at the Doktor's house. As much as I'm sad to not see the DC St. Patty's Day show, I'm really psyched to see them in NY.

We'll check the pre-show meetups as that starts to gell.

It's Philadelphia that has to add the Pogues, not vice versa.

9:30 site is showing 3/17 SOLD OUT. Luckily, we bought tickets for the 16th and 17th, and still don't even know if we can make it. Still hoping.

'nuff said Phil. You can't stop everywhere and cannot please everybody. And honestly, Boston isn't so terribly far away.

Cheers,
Coop

A mention of The Pogues spring dates in an "Atlanta Journal Constitution"

14 WAYS TO WHILE AWAY THE WINTER: Arts highlights in early 2009

"9. The Pogues. The London-formed band that first turned tin whistles and accordions into instruments of punk mayhem will start its 2009 U.S. tour here. The date marks the band’s first Atlanta show with original frontman Shane MacGowan since 1989. The Tabernacle. 8 p.m. March 9"

Hi, Im from Quincy Florida, and Im going to see the Pogues live for the first time in Atlanta. Ive been a fan for since 1987, Ive never met another person in this backwoods country town who even know who they are, so it will be nice to meet other Pogues fans.

Looks like the Michael Vick dogfights didn't make the list this year....
