The 2008 Chicago venue ran out of Guinness before the opening act was finished. Unforgivable.

Chi-town is now dead to me. Dead.

Hmmm..All this talk about Guinness at the venues has got me thinking...Does the Roseland have it, or anything along those lines (Murphy's etc) on tap? Just a wonder as I've never been there before. Maybe it'll be best to pre-game elsewhere if they dont.

Roseland had Guinness last year.

Can only hope a likely new date might be a third Roseland on Saturday 3/14
If not, I'm also going to Boston.

If my memory serves me well, Roseland had Guinness 2 years ago, but ran out; last year they did not have it at all. And they were charging $9 for shots of Jamesons.

I'm really going to try to make it to DC for at least the 17th, if not both dates. Otherwise it will be Dropkick in Boston. Also good but not quite the same thing to me. I get three weeks' vacation a year and I never take it all! A Pogues Holiday Traveling Show seems like a good use of it.
I have had to advise my sister on the intricacies of pit attendance. She thought people would just remain standing quietly and calmly in their originally chosen places. That gave me the lulz.

NOOOOO!
I can't believe the Canadian Dates are canceled. I have been waiting to see the Pogues for over 20 years. This breaks my heart!

Well, that's what happens when you put Fredo Corleone in charge of booking venues:
"I know it was you, Fredo. You broke my heart. You broke my heart."

Hooray! Just ordered tickets to both nights at Roseland. I'd really like to try to make it down to DC for Patty;s night but it would be cutting it close with school on Tuesday and Wednesday. It would mean a 2:00 train down missing a lab session that Tuesday afternoon and a 3:15 a.m. train back to Philly that morning. Definately under consideration to be with the Pogues on St Patricks Day for the third year in a row. I've done three shows on each tour three years now and I'd like to continue that. The week surrounding March 17th is without a doubt my favorite of the year. Can't wait to see the band again!
