It hasn't been ruled in or out just yet. It's one of thevery few variables still under scrutiny. Personally, I've been seeing Baltimore afresh since The Wire and am always happy to play B'more whenever possible.

Does this mean you´re going to be on the in March?

It's looking that way.

That's the best news I've heard in months. :D

Well well, i was planning on getting to New York for my third year in a row, i just may have to see what goes with the Toronto and Montreal gigs, Montreal knows how to party, not that Toronto are any slouch's................. :D

Whether it gets done or not Philip, somewhere i will get to see you guys once again, and thanks again for all you guys do. I have been on a one man crusade in my area basically promoting The Pogues HAH............i have turned a number of people onto this most amazing group and i was getting a small contingent getting ready for NY, many cannot afford it, now many more may be able to go to a Toronto show quite easily.

And i have not quoted you at all, not at all not at all,......................well except for the line at the bottom of the post of course??.......

Irishrose

P.S....................hmmm now if only you could get it done and have Finny and the rest of the Mahones to be your opening act??.........i may have to send his promoter and e-mail and get him to get in line for the possibility??...........gawd what a night that would be??...............sorry getting ahead of myself now, i will calm down??............

Good news! Glad The Pogues are coming back again in March. I'll be sure not to plan any vacations then :)

Didn't realize Atlanta was in there too. Good excuse for a trip to see people. Will bring my sister and make her a convert.

Atlanta in addition to Boston and New York, I mean. DC, Montreal, or Toronto are possibles too. Depends on dates. Glad to hear that Mr. C. should be playing.

Any chance of coming back to San Francisco for a few more nights?

I sure hope so.

This news is wonderful! I've been waiting for some sort of announcement for some time, now!
I hope there are multiple shows again in NYC...I will go to each and every one.

I hope you're up to playing by then, Philip. You were a highlight for me last year.

I think it's cool that you guys are hitting some new cities in the US this year! However, if there is any chance you could squeeze a Chicago show in again it would make my spring!!! Not that a nice little road trip to Toronto would be a bad thing, so I'll get me passport ready just in case.

Either way, thanks for the update!

Well done! We'll see you there in one city or another! As soon the government changes hands, maybe our dollar will finally be worth more than our friendly neighbor's to the north. Possibly making Canada do-able from the west coast. "OH, suits you sir!"

Good news indeed. I've moved three times since The Pogues started touring the US again and unless work pulls me away I may actually be able to drive to a show in 2009 instead of flying. Hopefully the DC show won't sell out too fast and I'll be able to nab some tickets. Any speculation on opening bands? I'd love to see Dropkick Murphys but I'm not sure they can be pulled away from Boston on St. Patty's. I really enjoyed Ike Reilly in Chicago last year as well - it'd be great to see him in DC next March.
