Murrayfield 1987 Intro Music

The Pogues supported U2 in August 1987 at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh.

Does anyone know what the intro music was? - I used to have the gig on audio cassette and recently I can't get the tune out of my head.

It was a classical piece which near the end became quiet and then finished with a loud impressive ending before the band burst into The Irish Rover if I remember right.

If anyone has a copy of it on any format (the intro or the gig) I would love to hear from them too.

Thanks.

Sorry Bart, I can't recall which intro music we were using in Summer 1987.

Thanks for taking the time to reply Phil and apolgies for my late response.

If you're willing to tolerate my awful playing I could give it a whirl on one of my whistles and upload a small file for you to listen to in case it jogs your memory

p.s. Sorry to hear you will not make the December shows. I can't wait for the Glasgow Carling gig once again. Continued best wishes to you Sir.
