There really shouldn't be any debate about the support this year, at least for Brixton. It has to be The BibleCodeSundays.

I'm in total agreement.

I quite liked having The Hollways, something a wee bit different

A wee bit different to having a good band perhaps, same with Larrikin Love

Dya reckon. I consider myself a Holloway's fan now. I suppose thats whats so good about music if everyone liked the same it would be dull.

There's a crap show on TG4 called Glasvegas... :D

I just prefer support bands that are in a similar style to the main act (s long as they're not covering their songs obviously!). BibleCodeSundays would be great as they write all the own songs on their albums and they're a good enough mix between Irish and rock for everyone to enjoy. They also have a huge following in London.

Thought Larrikin Love were an excellent choice for a support band, and really enjoyed them. Though it wasn't the best performance I'd seen from them. Missed the Holloways, for various complicated reasons.

I like a bit of contrast from a support band, whoever's the main act. If I've gone to see The Pogues, then I don't particularly see the point of having them preceded by a band that are sort of like The Pogues but not quite as good. Better to have something a bit different, in my opinion. (This is not to imply any disrespect to any specific band... )

Didn't any of you like Seth Lakeman? He's a big star now, you know.

To be honest, they all blur...
I scarcely ever made it to a support act over the last few years: as long as you're there once the Pogues come on, who cares? :D
