I imagine the band plans to spend a lot of time getting totally hammered during the international flights, then several days adjusting to the time zone shift and "jet-lag" induced hangovers. :)

Oh. Wait. That's just what I do when I travel internationally.

Or try to learn Japanese?

What do you need other than "Domi ogato, Mr. Roboto"?

I'm walking down Roppongi
The night is hot and smoggy
I drink a little coffee
A sake and a beer
I run into a ginja man
He speaks but I don't understand
He grins at me and takes my hand
And whispers in my ear

I've been a Pogues fan since the late Eighties and have obsessed even to the point of naming my first born Lorelei. The one thing I've never been able to do though, is see them live. I totally understand if Ohio isn't at the top of the toursite list, but dammit, I'll go anywhere in the US or Canada to catch a show. Just schedule it and I'll be there.

Sorry for the semi-threadjack.

I totally agree. I love the Pogues, as do many of us here in Boston. Come to the US soon. Will travel for Pogues!

I'm not German and I don't live there but the Pogues should definitely tour Germany! The Germans were among their biggest supporters in the 80s/90s and the band probably played more shows there than anywhere else outside the UK? Can anyone confirm? And of course the fan club was run from there and the great websites shanemacgowan.com and shanemacgowan.de are both run from there
