Hmm, good question, Chris.

I don't think it has always been used, I think Battle March Medley was probably used at one time (or am I dreaming again)?

I got a recording of a show from '88 today where the intro is BMM indeed!

I think we've been using it since 2004. It was Shane's idea. Periodically, we try to change it, but we've never found anything we like better.

Back in the day, we had a succession of intro tapes, ranging from "A Pistol For Paddy Garcia" to "Battle March" and god knows what else. We used the Alfred Hitchcock Theme for a while too.

I think STH sets the tone.. Hopefully the band chooses to keep it..(Also dig the Call Up by the Clash too)

Does anyone have any information about the music you can hear after the supportact has left the stage.
In Dublin they played 30-45 minutes of music before The Pogues took the stage.
It's one song I'm looking for
Kind Regards

Yes it does and they also play Geno with Dexys and Tears of a Clown with The Beat and also som Balkan music.
What I'm looking for is a "Folkpop-song" and the refrain goes like "Tullarula Tullarula Lai" sounds silly I know but the refrain gooes like that
I thought that I could nail who's the singer was but I couldn't.
If someone have a clue who the hell this song is I would be grateful
Kind Regards

It's been bugging me since I read this thread some hours ago, I can hear the tune in my head and I've just figured out it's Bruce Springsteen - something from the 'Seeger Sessions' I believe, Mrs McGrath?

Brooce certainly does a fair amount of "toora-loora-liddle-aye-ay"ing in Mrs McGrath. You wouldn't believe it could work, but it really does.

Thanx Jon you nailed it.
Of course it's "The Boss" and I have the album
I was so frustrated when I heard the song in Dublin, the singer sounded so familiar :)
