Anyone recognize any of the music played during set up in between the Tossers and the Pogues from the St. Pat's show @ Roseland? Anything before the requisite "Straight to Hell"? Any tips appreciated.

"Straight to Hell" is also a movie inwhich The Pogues appear along with the late, great Joe Strummer, former Clash member.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0094048/
I haven't seen the film yet, but it's on my short list of films to acquire.

I played this song at parties for years but I guess my friends got old or I got new friends that were not as cool, because people used to think it was awesome and now they only think it is strange.

There´s no better compliment than people saying you´ve got a strange taste in music.
At least it is to me.
And "Salsa y ketchup" is fantastic !
What's that crazy song in the pre-concert mix?

For at least a year now, the pre-concert playlist has a crazy song in it, lots of tuba and brass, sounds kind of Russian, maybe gypsy punk. Does anyone know what that song is? Thanks!

It sounds like it might be the Captain Beefheart track?
