No, if it comes from the guitarist (not to mention the Whistle Player) that the Pogues will not be playing Australia in October, I'd say that's a little bit more authorative than "hearsay and conjecture".

Oh ben ben ben ... ye of little faith. Why would you believe them? Mr. C. and Spider don't have anything to gain by posting invalid information about the tour.

Three weeks today and the boys will be in town. Can't think of a better Saturday night than The Pogues followed by Rage Against the Machine. Roll on T in the Park.

Any hint of a setlist thou??

Couldn't agree more, can't wait for T!

If the set list at T is half as good as the one they played at the Carling Academy in Glasgow last December then we'll be in for a treat

It´s a festival so you can probably expect a shorter set :(

Yeah, I know. Its a pain but at least the Pogues are the second last band on so will have one of the longer sets of the fest. I can cope with a short set as long as the songs are good

Looks like I'm attending Sunday, to see The Pogues and Flogging Molly, as I'm already in Dublin. Found daytickets on Ebay :D

Just a couple of questions about the festival, if anyone are able to answer, that'd be great:

1) When is the schedule released, for when the bands are playing? I guess neither Pogues or FM are headliners of any sort, but it'd be good to know, so we can plan when to get there and when to get back.

2) How long does it take from Dublin by bus to the festival?

A week before the event, or so.

Naas is some 20-25 miles from Dublin. Depends on traffic of course but hardly it would take more than an hour.

As for buses: they promise shuttles from Parnell Square. You can book them before hand (http://www.ticketmaster.ie/promo/2iegvg)
or phone (01) 873 4222.

Buses depart from Parnell Square West:

Thursday July 10th – From 12 Noon until 8pm
Friday July 11th – From 12 Noon until 8pm
Saturday July 12th – From 10am until 5pm
Sunday July 13th – From 11am until 4pm

Buses depart Punchestown Racecourse:

Saturday 12th - Directly after the concert
Sunday 13th - Directly after the concert
Monday 14th July - From 6am until 12 noon

Return price €20.00*

Bus tickets are currently available online at any Ticketmaster outlet and from the Sound Cellar on Nassau Street.

Special Nitelink Service:
A Nitelink service will operate Sunday 13th July on Routes 7n, 31n, 39n, 40n, 41n, 42n, 46n, 48n, 49n, 51n, 67n, 70n, 77n, with nitelinks departing at 00:30hrs and 02:00hrs

Only 4 days to Terre Neuvas!!!
Mr. C, how long are you going to play in France? I've seen The Pogues are on at 20.20h and the next band (The Verve) is scheduled at 23.00h.

The Pogues and The Verve on the same bill; you lucky lucky fuckers.

Ashcroft and the lads utterly rocked Glasto at the weekend, They are Wigan's best musical export since Kym Marsh in Hearsay.

I'm not a big fan of The Verve, but I'm gonna give them a chance anyway.
Looking forward to the Sex Pistols on Sunday too.

We always try to do a full show, even at Festivals, unless the scheduling of the Festival makes that difficult. There's no reason to suppose you won't get the usual 90 minute/100 minute show.

I have two news for you, Aslak:
The good one is Oxegen stage times have been released.
The bad one is The Pogues and Flogging Molly are scheduled for the same time according to this info - 21:20
Shite happens ..
