The Pogues at the Greek Theatre 1989

Hey everyone!

I have a question that's been bugging me for almost 20 years now. I saw the Pogues open for his Bobness at the Greek Theatre in LA in 1989. They were GREAT!

But at one point some heckling occurred and someone from the audience asked "Where's Shane??".

Was it possible that Shane was not present that night at the Greek? Was he ill perhaps? Or was the heckler just having a go at Shane?

Any help would be much appreciated!
