He alters 'the story' to fit the thread. Its just not even funny anymore

Shall we all just agree to stop reading, commenting, everything what the TWAT writes. (hopefully we´ll have a few less post to go threw, in every thread)

I mean his Ignorant and plain stupid and a moaning bitch. at least NOW i´ll stop even if it´s in every Fu**ing thread

DzM, how´s it going with the "dont show posts by..." button? 8)

Come on guys. Please don't make criticisms into personal attacks. Make an effort to voice your disapproval in a civil way, otherwise every thread quickly falls into a Bully On The Little Guy fest-o-fun.

Making progress.

I'm inclined to install the new software with the default theme just to gain access to this feature (and some other nice features, but this is the shiny jewel that calls out to me). I've been strongly encouraged, though, to hold off until I can get it properly themed for the Medusa look-and-feel.

Dzm: Sadly, when we expressed our disagreement with his style of writing, he didn´t care, that´s the problem I see.

He messes more and more threads. Of course, if people didn´t react to his crap, it wouldn´t happen, but "don´t read it" argumen is not valid, in my opinion. If I start posting porn links and such stuff, no one has to read it either - but it will be annoying (and in some cases, similarly on-topic as Oirish's things).

It would be really great if you could install that software as soon as possible - even interesting topics got bogged down by stupid jaoil moaning, we´ve read many times.

If we write something to him (even non-offensive), we get no answer - that´s very stupid way of discussion, I´d say.

Wouldn't an agreement to keep all posts full of essence and oi's in one thread and to stick to plain English in the rest of them solve the problem?

If it's possible to type without oi's compiling texts for his own site or recruitment advertisements, why it's not possible to make just one step forward to meet wishes of fellow Medusians and potential readers?

His obstinacy began to resemble deliberate provocation long ago..

I tend not to get involved in the politics of an internet forum, I shall leave that to the moderators (I’ve no intention and never have of ever becoming a moderator on any of the many sites I frequented by the way!!) I enjoy reading and getting involved in the threads on here as we have members from across the globe in every walk of life, every age etc which inevitably brings differing opinions and therefore increases the debate.

HOWEVER

The ongoing “saga” of Irish Rover is, in my opinion, now doing more harm to Medusa than good. Its nothing short of pathetic, the same old unreadable tripe now seems to be filtering into just about every decent thread and as a result steers it off topic and back onto the “saga” of Irish Rover.

Which, once again in my opinion, is just what young Mr Rover wants

Yeah, interesting Pogues-related threads constantly turn into endless discussions about Oirish’s way of writing, and the original topic is forgotten... :? Oirish, I know you’ve explained it is a "natural" way of writing for you, but as you can see it too often leads just to mocking and judging your style instead of replying to the ideas you expressed. As was suggested before, could you perhaps keep your writing style for your thread ("IrishRover and the crew") and use more readable English when posting to other threads? I’m not trying to harm the freedom of self-expression, absolutely – just asking for a favour that could hopefully restore peace on the raft and encourage development of fora topics instead of going in circles over spelling matters.

What can I say? Yes, IrishRover's writing is grating to many of us. It would be really nice if IrishRover would take constructive feedback to heart before people end up frustrated and just start abusing him (as has happened many times already). But that doesn't mean that we all get a free license to become abusive.

Please feel free to tell IrishRover that his writing is annoying (or me, or Zuzana, or Philip, or anyone else). Feel free to offer constructive suggestions. Hell - feel free to make non-constructive criticism. Just keep it civil. This isn't a schoolyard and we are not a pack of bullies.

Going back to the original topic of 'The Irish Rover and Sacred Songs' I would like to resume the thread and say that I always enjoy listening to the Poges, whatever the setlist. I am, however always delighted when my most favourite songs are played, among them Streams of Whiskey, Thousands are Sailing, The Sickbed of Cuchulainn, The Broad Majestic Shannon and of course Fairytale of New York, but it's really very difficult to pick even these from all the songs. I just wondered if 'Lullaby of London' will be back on the setlist soon; it's on the 'Live at the Brixon Academy' cd but it wasn't played in 2007 and I don't remember hearing it in 2006. I know the band don't do requests as such but it's such a lovely song it would be great to hear it played live.

Here we go again. Hasn't this all been said before? Just ignore his posts.

I have no trouble reading your posts OIrish and am interested in what you have to say.
