:? "guests"
noiw, oi've seen enough of so called "guests" froim Serboia who appear here to do the spoittion' on meself and what oi stand foir.. so oi very well knoiw what thois koind of "guestoing" means

oim sure that poseurs' judgment of Shaneo's woirk and perfoirmance ois absolutely oirrelevant to all who really apprecoiate and knoiw what Shaneo represents; oif soime would loive a thousand years they couldn't match not a percent of Shaneo's punkhood; those seekoin' "learnoing" lyriocs & shoiw busoiness, whatever the hell that ois.. loive yer poseurs' loifes and let the punkers do theoir stuff; theres a woirse stuff than beeoin' agaoinst punk and thats pretendoin' to be a punker when yer a poseur and havoin' an "oippoinion" on hoiw punk roickers perfoirm.. theres poseurs' musoic & poseurs artoistoic "musoicoians" and theres plenty of em'.. so guests need to admoit theoir poseurs' koind, nothoin' moire; and cloise the doors on yer way out!

oi recall soime toime ago judgements appeared froim soime people who coimplaoined agaoinst the Pogues oin terms that Shaneo doidn't "pefoirm" well and that they paoid foir the toicket and all.. oim sure theres loits of people(OI meself am one of them) who would feel a dream come true woith a chance to be at Pogues goig and wouldn't moind at all to hear Shaneo's perfoirmance(and all oif oit, woith all the magoic Shaneo broings and yes woith hes best rough voice & statements & oif he uses the lyroics oin oiwn ways and accoirdoin' to the moiment & feeloings & whatever); those not happy woith an advantage of loivoing close enough to places where Pogues do goigs and beeoin' judgemental toiwards Shaneos perfoirmance.. why roidion' on the wriong soide of the road? go doiwn the smooith tracks of superposeuroishhoigway and leave us race lovers on our beloved road;

IrishRover - I'd like to ask you a favor. A personal favor, just for me.

You have interesting things to say (or at least most of the time when I can take the effort to decipher it). I would really like to engage with you in the various conversations that you contribute to. Unfortunately I find your "lingo" difficult enough to deal with that I often simply chose not to bother reading it.

Can you, as a favor to me, try to restrict your more colorful "lingo" to your Saga thread? Perhaps in other threads try to write in a more easy to digest form? I want to engage in conversation with you and instead find myself willfully ignoring your posts. I'd really be happier if this weren't the case.

So ... please? Just for me?

I'd second that. Irish, I find your posts interesting in theory but tiresome to read. The one at the top of this page is frankly gibberish and as such I gave up reading it very early on. I'm sure there are many of us on here who would love to engage more in your conversations but find the "Oi" thing too daunting. Let's try normal language and see how it goes, yes?

Have you ever heard of Pierre Bourdieu? You sound like a sociological phenomena - where did you gain your habitus? From listening to songs by the highking of Ireland? Sounds like interesting material for a new sociological study!

why did you slaughter Shane's with OIs then?

yeah, I know what you mean - it's your habitus... but after re-reading it just doesn't make sense at all...

Oh well. I'll go back to trying my best to ignore your posts. Just thought I'd ask.

My apologies to everyone else for knocking this thread a bit off topic.

I don't know. Sometimes your posts have been interesting, sometimes not. All of us sometimes have contributions that are golden and sometimes not. That doesn't matter though. I find trying to read your posts (particularly the longer ones) an unpleasant task due to the effort you take to to make your writing unreadable. As such I frequently don't know whether or not you are bringing an interesting perspective to a conversation.

I frequently skip reading posts that are written in l33t sp34k ("Ph34r m7 m4d l33t sk1llz!"), SMS speak ("U R SO KOOL! 2 MCH!"), "punk" ("fUCk yoU! Iz puNK!"), etc. This type of language mangling, for me, buries the signal under more too much static. Eventually it doesn't matter to me what the signal is or the message that is being carried. It becomes no longer worth the effort to sort through the noise. For this same reason I switch radio stations when the static becomes too intrusive on the program I'm listening too, I switch television stations when the programs are swamped in snow, and don't frequent web sites that are covered in animated (or, even worse, audible) advertising. In all of these cases the signal (and the message it carries) is no longer worth putting up with the noise.

I (and I suspect many others) have a relatively low tolerance for noise:signal. The more noise there is the less I care about the signal, and whatever message you may have in the signal gets lost. Hence my request - I _WANT_ to engage you in conversation but your writing style makes the act an unpleasant chore. I've asked you nicely to try to improve the noise:signal ratio of your posts (at least as they exist outside of your own thread); you've said "No." So there it is. You are choosing to have people ignore you rather than engage with you. You are choosing to be a victim. Fine. Have fun with that.

I mean I didnt get where his habit disappears when he maintains his own site or why he has to post his gems without oi's but persistently butcher others' lyrics?
And how is it concerned with omnipresent managerial figures?!
