I think in Boston we've had the Street Dogs & William Elliot Whitmore. Can't say I'm a big fan of WEW. I hope they get somebody else this year.

in Glasgow there were Junkman's Choir last year (great gig!)
Then they'll take you to Cloughprior
Shove you in the ground
But you'll stick your head back out and shout
"Let's have another round!"

It was the first and only time I had ever seen or heard them.

I do not feel the urge to repeat this experience.

The Sawdoctors are one of those bands 'you' feel you should like, but they're shite. I don't like Flogging Molly much, but they're growing.

Anyway, Dodgy did support for Birmingham 2001
I wish I'd done biology for an urge within me wanted to do it then

I find that of all the support acts I've seen with The Pogues, he's one of the few that starts with almost zero audience interest and, within two minutes, has the attention of the entire floor. Even more rare is that he's the only opening act I've ever seen, for any main act, where at the end of his set the audience is yelling for more songs.

His music may not be a good match for everyone, but he really engages most of the audience when he performs.

I think 2004's support at Brixton was Morning Runner, who were great if you like coldplay, much less great if you dont.

The Holloways are cracking though, saw them earlier in the year and they were great. And Generator is one of the best singles of the year if you ask me.

I'd love to see William Elliot Whitmore.
