p.s. i'm pretty sure i have some sort of psychic connection to the pogues because i always seem to have this urge to check it right when east coast shows are going on sale (after months of being away from it). i'm pretty sure i did the exact same thing last year. weird.
sing me a story i haven't heard yet.

I sure hope so - I'm counting on that one for my chance to see them this year.

Matthew Broderick knows what Carmen means. Wasn't it a very drunk and unsteady MB who finally toppled over last year in the vicinity of Carmen at Roseland?

Ahhhh...once again, something that adds to the continuity of life...a Pogues show... :D

Are the Live Nation service charges less than the evil Ticketmaster fees?

Please note the URLs on the front page for public tickets.

Chicago is not yet known. Will update it as soon as we know.

There's a reason they shoot the Wire there... And I'd be extra careful with that girl. She'll give you Mekong flu and take your wallet to boot.
I like this bad set and I like getting drunk at luncheon.

Oh, forgot to mention, if you plan on sampling the fine ladies of Baltimore bring industrial strength condoms. See article...

Jesus, that Baltimore lady showed up at the 9:30. Then she charged me $4 for will call. Guess it was bound to happen. That's what you get for not checking the site everyday and getting the nice presale.

Anyone have a sense of how/when St. Patrick's Day tix will go on sale? Will it happen the second the first 2 shows sell out? Will it be announced beforehand? Will they be given away to the winners of an essay contest on the subject of "Shane MacGowan is totally AWESOME because..." ? Will I get any tickets? How many? Will I get to see Matthew Broderick drunk? If I hyperventilate and pass out and hit my head on my desk will it cause permanent dain bramage?

Ah, so what the hell...we're in for the 16th now. 8)

The 17th dream has been dashed by an inability to get two days off in a row, and the Boston trip has too many intangibles.

So, where's the pre-show on the 16th?

I'm pretty damned excited about this now that it's finally decided.

Yay! One officially happy camper here, my ticket for the 16th in NYC has been procured. If the PTB are still smiling upon me, by this time tomorrow I'll have my usual seats front and center in the mezzanine at the Orpheum.
