Yeah! A toast to the band, their helpers and their fans!

I'm still waiting on my Philly tickets. I don't think I'll ever use artist arena again. The whole "We'll mail the tickets 7 days before your event" idea is really, really, really dumb.

Again, I qoute the Live Nation FAQ:

Q. When will I receive my tickets?
A. Generally you will receive your tickets 7-10 days prior to any event. If you have not received your tickets within five business days of your event please email tickets@artistarena.com or call 212-420-8500 with your name and order number.

PLEASE CALL OR EMAIL NO LATER THAN 2 DAYS BEFORE YOUR EVENT TO ALERT US THAT YOUR TICKETS ARE MISSING. IF YOUR EVENT IS ON A FRIDAY, SATURDAY OR SUNDAY, PLEASE CONTACT US NO LATER THAN THE THURSDAY BEFORE THAT WEEKEND. IN ORDER TO GUARANTEE ENTRY TO YOUR SHOW YOU MUST CONTACT PRIOR TO THE DAY OF YOUR SHOW.

Good luck. Hope this helps.

March 2008- Home Boys Home

Post Sat Mar 08, 2008 5:27 am

Philip!
I'm late to the party and just catching up on some reading before I catch you boys again at the venerable Orpheum in two weeks. Last year's show at Avalon was beyond description...like seeing you in my Mom's kitchen! It seems like yesterday when I first saw you guys live, my first Pogues (& U2) concert, 2nd leg Joshua Tree, Foxboro. '87 I think...maybe '88?

Anyways, we're preparing for my first daughter to make her First Communion, and I must admit I'm not very religious, but your music (as well as The Clancy Brothers) IS religion to me, and I try to pass that feeling on to my gals. And our family has very much been affected by your past disease and know it can be beat, so now we pray for you and your continued health, and look forward to another sick gig!

Slainte!

One of my friends came down with that flu that's going around so I find myself with an extra ticket for tonight at the 930 club. I'd rather have someone here use it if anyone needs it. Email me at araxie11<at>gmail.com

Sunday, March 16, NYC

Post Sun Mar 09, 2008 3:31 pm

I also have an extra ticket, for Sunday's NY show on the 16th. It's a hard ticket, not the printable one. I could put it in tomorrow's mail priority. (Or I could meet you at St. Andrews pub before the show.) Will let it go for what it would cost to purchase at the door, which is, I believe, $55. Just let me know.

I bought 2 tickets to see the Pogues for the first time on March 6th for my birthday in Chicago. My boyfriend and I were at the red light just before the Riv (literally not even a block awat) when a drunk driver crashed into us and I spent the night in the hospital taped to a wooden board/stretcher and getting x-rays on my neck and back. Thankfully to God we are okay! It could've been much worse, but it was strange...all that day i had a feeling like it was too good to be true to finally have the chance to see the Pogues, and what do you know....it was!

Oh man! I hope you and your boyfriend are both on the mend now, Jessica. What a way to spend your birthday. Here's wishing you a speedy recovery and another opportunity to catch the band in the future.

Jessica,
Truly sorry to hear about you and your friend’s misfortune; wish I had the cash as if I did I would gladly part with it to send you off to see them on some show this tour. They are really in fine form. My youngest son was hit by a car last Halloween (he's 13 - 1st time let him go without us, still he was with a friends mother - but still we had a lot of guilt of this) and it was just crazy bad. It really changed me up though, I am a much more careful (read paranoid) driver now.

Best to you!

BTW, did you try to get a refund from Mr. Granat or Mr. Michelson (Jam Prod); might be worth a shot.
It's never about the money, as long as you have some...
