My first post here and first time of my life that I will visit Dublin, first time of my life that I will see The Pogues.
Anyone familiar with the security over there? I asume that it is allowed to bring in a small non-professional digital camera with me and can use them (w/o flash) during the show?

As long as your camera doesn't look too 'professional', they'll generally let you take it with you. Interestingly, during the five performances of R.E.M. at The Olympia earlier this year, where they were "testing" new material, they (the band) were actively encouraging people to bring cameras and put photos and videos on YouTube.
