Post Mon Oct 22, 2007 12:08 pm

JUST HAD IT CONFIRMED, BELFAST IS SOLD OUT!!! :( Surly The Pogues could had played in a much bigger venue. I am really pissed off, but then i should got me tickets when they 1st went on sale. WHY OH WHY ARE THE POGUES PLAYING IN SUCH A SMALL VENUE IN BELFAST??? Their will be many many dissapointed fans just like me who won't get to see the greatest band on earth in their own town. TOTAL OUTRAGE!!!

you'd better have read other threads more carefully
rather than opening this one

and you'd better react to them faster
than you did to the tickets going on sale !
In heaven I met my Maker, I told Him a few jokes
we also sang some songs, He even liked The Pogues

BELFAST SOLD OUT!

Post Mon Oct 22, 2007 2:05 pm

I think that I was more than right to express my point of view at being pissed off at a band the size of The Pogues playing is a shitty small venue, of course there will be other people like me who will have to go without this xmas and miss the pogues in Belfast. The reason and perhaps i should have stated this in my first message was the reason i did not get my tickets when the 1st went on sale was because i was also buying tickets for other people and decided to wait untill i had enough money and buy all the tickets together! A gamble i know but sure what can ya do? As my ex Girlfriend once said "SHIT HAPPENS".

Do as the others on this site does. Buy them when they go on sale and tell your friends to do the same, i mean it´s not that you got to have seats next to each other if you have standing tix. If you buy your tix first others will follow and you don´t have to stand there afterwords moaning. Even if you buy your tix first theres no chanse you´ll be the only one in the venue,  you´ll make other friends if your REAL friends don´t get there arses.......

Hope you´ll get your tix anyway and you have learnd the lesson.

Don´t blame the Pogues for you beeing slow

I don't know the Nugent Hall and am not, therefore, in a position to gauge its size. I do know, however, that our management and agency have nothing to gain by booking us into venues that are too small for us. It may well be that after 17 years, there was no way to judge how well a Pogues show would do in Belfast. It may well be true that our representatives were over-cautious, I really don't know, but The Pogues have never just assumed that we can stroll back into a town after such a long absence and expect it to be automatically painted red for us (unfortunate figure of speech in Ulster I know, sorry). In any event, please don't lay the blame at our door. It is gratifying we are still in demand in Belfast but honestly, the tickets have been on sale for some time.

Belfast Sold Out

Post Mon Oct 22, 2007 4:19 pm

Thanks Mr C for your feedback, I guess i'm just feeling a bit sorry for myself, cause when you love a band so much and you find out that its sold out is very hard to take, the people i mentioned i was waiting for to buy the tickets was for my 2 brothers and sister, thats the main reson i could not just get myself a ticket. Sod it if i can get the time off work i've a brother in Nottingham, i'll head out there and see yez, sorry for sounding like a prick, i'm just very down as a result! 8)

I have to say, now that I see the venues' layout, it is slightly surprising they didn't just bump us across to the King's Hall. Perhaps it's already booked that night.
