East coast US

Post Sat Oct 13, 2007 11:16 am

Could someone help me please???? Do The Pogues usually play the east coast of America around St Pat's day - every year???

I'm saving to go back to Ireland from Oz for a wedding in March and maybe thought I'd nip over to NY if they generally played.
Do you think we will find out soon if they are???

They did in 2006 and 2007. It would be reasonable to expect they will come back, but with Philip's condition and some saying that maybe they should mix it up a little, I wouldn't drop money on it yet. Wait for an announcement. Past couple years, that announcement was in November, I think.
What kind of fuckery is this?

I was just thinking it would not be beneficial at all to post on the front page of the website as soon as it was confirmed!

They played shows in March of 2006. I saw them in Atlantic City last year. They also played a series of gigs on the East Coast earlier this year as well. They usually play New York, Chicago, Boston, Washington DC, and Philadelphia. Maybe one day they will play in Virginia (fingers crossed, I won't have to drive very far for that gig.)

I'd call only NY and Boston "usual" points of EC tours. Washington and AC were blessed in 2006, Chicago and Philly - in 2007.

Yes, let's revisit DC! 2006 had two sold out shows at the 9:30 Club...
