I've given you all details I know ..

The point is that the link to RoddyMcCorleySociety given on Black 47 site doesn't help, that site doesn't even give e-mail of the place, so so far I've been unable to even get in touch about tickets

Maybe our friend who lives in Belfast can do some checking out ..??

and as to meeting, again I'd suggest The Crown but that is a 100% outsiders view informed by my small tourist guide only, for so far I've never walked the streets of Belfast

let me hear from you ..

Paddy one of the more popular places in Belfast for bands to play on stage is The Empire, Botanic Avenue. So you may find they could be playing there.

Hope this helps, couldnt see anything about them on the site, but I'm sure if you email/phone they'd confirm for you

hi Flintstone,

they play in RoddyMcCorley Centre, that's not what I'm uncertain about, my query regards not having been able to find a gig list of that Centre, nor a way to reserve tickets, I'll give them a ring, I got a number through Tourist Information. I'll let you know, thanks for thinking along!!

Will that be two meets in The Crown, then?

Sorry Paddy, I didnt even know there was such a place in West Belfast until your posting :(

Ah well you live and learn. As for meeting up at The Crown or any other bar, unfortunately not me.. I dont really like drinking before concerts of any kind and only ever occassionaly drink during a concert. And besides I'll probably be working during that day and wont be home until around 5 or 6 :(

Hope you all have a good days getting PISSED and not too drunk when the concert starts :)

I'm afraid you grossly overestimate my thirst there, buddy,
and misjudge my intentions regarding meeting fellow music lovers,
but thanks anyway

Guys I think you should knock the Crown idea on the head, They wont let a bunch of rowdy Pogues fans hear the place, unfortunate but true. Fibber Magees at the back of Robinsons - just beside Crown - is a good bet, bit of pre-gig atmos. Also there is the Kings Head bar just across the road from the gig venue, its a pretty big place and a live music venue in its own right l imagine the majority of gig-goers will descend on the place making for a great pre-gig party!!!

p.s. Any idea on aftershow djing?????

i already suggested fibbers, but one thing about people on here is theyre determined. If they want the crown, theyll go to the crown. Personally i dont like the place but thats just me. Its a while since ive been out in belfast on a sat night, but what about the limelight or auntie annies

Hey, I'll go wherever you want.

I only want to see what The Crown is like, you know the tourist bit, and then I'm happy to go elsewhere.
