funny how you were to have a meal inside the Dublin venue:

there was food on one side of the auditorium and drinks on the other,
yet you weren't allowed to bring the one to the other,
so you really had to make up your mind:
"do I want my beer before my pizza, or my pizza before the beer"

solution of course: a beer before and a beer after

but no way could one wash the pizza down with a beer

Even if you stood in the middle, and had a friend get you the beer, then another friend get you pizza?

No, the one friend would have had to drink the beer and the other would have had to eat the pizza before being allowed back into the middle hall!!

strange, though of course very much of minor importance compared to the joy of seeing Pogues play of course

having to wear winter clothes in the mosh pit was more of a problem

I can see where that would limit mobility, and I am sure the heat buildup must have been bad as well
