Must be about 25 years since I had a night out in Newcastle. Still remember it, though. Sort of.

Ok, I got it. This is where everyone competes to wear the fewest clothes in Newcastle on the coldest evening of the year. (Don't try to figure it out, Yankee Cousins, it's a peculiarly Northern English thing, prevalent also in Leeds, Nottingham, Sheffield etc but associated most with Newcastle. Women especially have sport with this. A short-sleeved shirt - no t-shirt under or sweater or jacket over - will be considered standard wear for the Male).
