According to Billy Bragg's web site he's scheduled to play the Manchester show on the 15th. How jealous am I!?

I read that somewhere on The Pogues' web site too.

Well they didn't arrive today like I expected.

Looks like the post is still a bit slow in Liverpool, despite the fact they've caught up with the backlog from the postal strike (or so they say).

Lucky you, mine arrived while I was at work :(

I have to get up really early on Monday morning to go and pick them up as I have to wait 24 hours for them to arrive at the sorting office and they shut early on Saturdays (11am, the time of arrival was 12.55pm).

A slight inconvenience which I'm a little annoyed about, but I'm sure it'll be worth it.

Well me and my dad are going seats or no seats, tickets have come. Looking forward now! It'll be a change from the M.E.N too.

Great!

I would have preferred being able to buy a seated ( word? ) ticket as well, but, hey, whatever. How old is your dad?
Will you two meet the rest of us before the gig?

Great jericho, hope you and your dad enjoy the show, you will! Just in case there are seats, and I am almost 100% certain there isn't, I have two tickets(my wife and daughter) who will swap for standing. Wimps!

My dad is 60 next yr, I don't think he'll mind standing really but he's seen the pit at the M.E.N and knows it looks wild, haha. Me I'd rather be in it!

I'll have a look at the meet thread and let my dad know about it, suppose it depends if we get in Manchester in time for a pre-gig drink really :)

Oh btw I have two friends who aren't really into the Pogues seriously considering coming as well, as well as my girlfriend who isn't massively into them either! Time to recruit new blood to the Pogues gigs :D
