Dirty Pretty Things have cancelled their forthcoming support slot with The Pogues to concentrate on their new album.
The band had been due to make their last appearance of 2007 at the festive show in Nottingham on December 14th.
However, recording sessions in Los Angeles, which are described as being “at a very crucial stage,” have meant that the band have decided to remain in America.
“The band are very disappointed as they were looking forward to returning to the UK and playing this gig very much and apologise to those of you who have purchased tickets for this cancellation,” explained a statement.
“However, the album sessions must take priority and regrettably, there was no other option.”
The band’s follow-up to 2006’s ‘Waterloo To Anywhere’ is due out sometime in 2008.
