No idea who The Holloways are but they seem crap, like last year's support. Ah well, The Pogues more than make up for that.

WRONG, The Holloways are cracking!!!!

Perfect support for the Pogues. :D

Larrikin Love? I saw them at the Scala in Kings Cross a couple of months before the Brixton support slot, Mrs Smoz likes them but they don't do much for me.

I had so much fun with that band after the first nights gig at Brixton... so much so they invited us being a cupla mateys and myself backstage the following night.. the lead singer Edward was the most charming person I have ever come across.. and had the sweetest girlfriend which as I recall did the artwork for their album. I really like(d) their tunes too.. Happy as Annie being my fav. :D Shame they split :-|

Actually I really liked them too. I saw them a couple of other times (apart from with The Pogues) during their short life. Fine live band, though Brixton wasn't their best performance. Thought their album was good.

And as Walshy says, Edward is a really nice guy.

Last I heard, Edward Larrikin was working on a new project called "The Pan I Am".

Oh yes, he's got a myspace: http://www.myspace.com/thepaniam

Yeah!! Blood or Whiskey in Dublin!!
I can't wait for that. The only better thing could happen is if Flogging Molly would support, but that's not going to be...

I'll fly from Switzerland on 23th, then travel around Ireland till the Dubliners on 30th

See you!! :-)

The Dirty Pretty Things are supporting the Pogues at Nottingham Arena on December 14. The list of support acts for the UK tour can now be found on the mainpage.
