We flew to Belfast International a couple of weeks ago and it's seriously not in Belfast. I'd aim for Georgie - unless it's in Dublin, it'll be a shorter journey.

Liverpool airport I can only fly to Belfast International, but if I go from Manchester I have a choice of Belfast City and Belfast International.

I'm not worried about price because it'll probably cost me about the same to get to either airport, which is really strange as Liverpool is obvously nearer.

Just trying to get my travel arrangements sorted out so as I know exactly what I'm doing.

George Best would be "Best",and i refuse to apoligise for the bad pun!
Oh and yes the Dublin-Belfast Enterprise train takes about 2 and a half hours,if you're on a budget the bus from Dublin-Belfast costs a lot less then the train, and there is an express bus which gets you there in about 2 hours straight.

And me Heather, i dident even know there are two airports and i've allready booked with bmi baby from Brum to Belfast international, so it's a i/2 hour bus journey for me, oh yer and i've booked a few nights at the Europa airport so maybe see a few of you there

This is great news after the dissapointment over the Lichfield fiasco. :D Definitely Manchester 'cos I'm already there for the Saw Doctors on the 14th. Extra day booked in digs now for the 15th, just need tickets. Newcastle is also on the cards 'cos it's on the doorstep.
Can anyone give me some info on the GMEX?

Brixton nick is just up the road. If you wobble your face in a barmaid's cleavage, that should guarrantee you a room for the night.

Whatever about that, there are no hotels in the Brixton area, as I know from my 4-times-a-day 30 minute drives between Knightsbridge and Brixton each December.

I understand we will be offering a £5 discount on the presale for Manchester in recognition of last year's below-par show.

I thought the Manchester gig was OK. Bit dodgy at the start but it turned around alright. Great rendition of "Kitty" but yeah probably not the best show they have done.

I hope to be able to let you have the links for sales and presales quite soon so we can add the dates to the front page. It would be unwise to read into the date sheet any "gaps" in which more shows may be added.

Checked the websites and cant find Pogues on at the newcastle acadamy or Metro arena, both have bands already booked for the 11th... anyone know when/where they are on in newcastle??

On the not unreasonable grounds that this date appears to be, at the very least, in contention, them that's meant to know these things have had these things put to them. Check back later. Who knew Ocean Colour Scene were still lugging their old carthorses around the arenas, eh?

LATER:

Ok, seems like Newcastle and Glasgow were switched around for "logistical" reasons, that is to say, Glasgow is more Northerly than Newcastle. If you think I (at least) should know this after 30 years of UK touring, I have only one defence to plead in mitigation - for reasons I never quite understood myself, year after year, tours seemed to start "traditionally" in Newcastle. The Radiators joined just such a tour in November 1977 opening for Thin Lizzy and a local Lizzy fan told me "Bands do that because Newcastle is a kind of lucky toon for bands, the audiences are great, the women are fantastic [or, at least, naked]. Bands fucken love it up here". I ran this by Mr Lynnot. "We do in our bollicks!!!! We play Newcastle first, Young Philo, because if you're crap on your first night, nobody notices except the hack from the Melody Maker. They're too pissed having a great time to notice in Newcastle. On the other hand, if you're crap in Glasgow on your first night, they may well present you with a gift of your testicles as you leave town next morning, and that could cause a bit of a pall to hang over the rest of the tour."

Anyway, sorry for the delay in fixing the error. I am sure Zuzana will correct it formally when she does the presales info tomorrow.
