My mate odreded us four tickets about 2 weeks ago.
What date is Gothenburg . I might have to get there then if i can afford it.
WHat the fuck. I had better tell him to cancel the cheque or whatever.

Gothenburg is on Friday the 10th. You can fly cheap from Dublin, Glasgow or London with Ryanair. Send me a PM if you need help with tickets etc.

Cheers Mats

"Hello? Credit card company? Yes. There is a charge on my card on ${DATE} for ${MONEY}. Right. Well, the vendor has failed to provide the service I paid for. I've tried contacting them ${NUMBER} times for a refund, but they've been unresponsive. Will you kindly reverse the charge? Great! Thank you!"

Voila. Ticket charge, any service charge, etc all magically vanish.

Seems to be sold out  It´s possible to buy tickets here: http://www.biljettshop.se/tickets.php#282 but they charge A LOT extra. Private ads is another option, I found some but you need to send cash in advance and it´s always a bit risky. Let me know if you find a flight.

Well, I ordered three tickets by credit card, and they TOOK the money quickly enough.
I only found out it as cancelled when I went to he site to find out if they'd added any more details.

As there's been absolutely ZERO publicity in the area for the show, I can't say I'm totally surprised.

The same company also organises the local Burntwood Wakes - and this is in danger of cancellation too due to poor ticket sales.

Just got an e-mail back from Creative World Entertainment - they say

The situation regarding this was out of our control as we have been refused use of the venue by LDC. We are trying to reschedule for the NIA in December, but if this is not possible you will be refunded.

They wee refused use of the venue? Surely this would have been sorted BEFORE announcing the show?

I shall be asking for a refund, I think.

I had a voicemail message from Ticketline today saying it had been cancelled and a 'face value refund' had been credited to my debit card which may take 8-10 days to appear.

Fair play to ticketline, I've returned from my hols and they've e-mailed (unprompted) to tell me they've organised a refund. That compares well to ticketmaster who have been rubbish at this sort of thing in my experience.

It's actually quite hard work to organise a piss-up in a brewery, or so I'm told...

Rang up Ticketmaster today to get a refund. They said that according to their info the gig had not been officially cancelled yet. I told them that I was reading it on this website and the Pogues had confirmed that it was and with that info they gave me a full refund. i take it back Firehazard its not gonna happen

Even more bad news. Just got the refund back into my account and my son told my wife that Van Morrison is touring so I had to get tickets for that.(4 tickets, the whole family want to go).
