CELTIC ROOTS CANCELLED

Post Fri Aug 03, 2007 7:04 pm

I just heard that we're not doing this festival anymore and judging from some of your experiences with them that's probably a very good thing. It was completely out of our hands, the promoters are blaming the weather. Sorry if anyone was travelling far but I guess you could all go and see if Shane's in the Boogaloo...

Dammit. Sad but somehow predictable. December seems a long time away.
Likes the warm feeling but is tired of all the dehydration.

I'm sure we will be seeking recompense and I can only suggest you do the same. If I hear about anything procedural in the next few weeks, I'll post here.

Very disappointing, especially as we don't know if there are any gigs coming up at Christmas or not.

If the organisers had only got there arse's into gear it could have been a good festival.

This 'festival' seemed to have something strange about it from the start. The official website looks cheap and there is virtually no information about it available on the internet. If The Pogues had played it, I think only a handful of people would have turned up (mainly visiters to this website) as it had been so poorly advertised (unlike Guilfest and usual Pogues tours).

What date is Gothenburg . I might have to get there then if i can afford it.
WHat the fuck. I had better tell him to cancel the cheque or whatever.
