No, "Fairytale Of New York" will continue its quest to be heard by everyone on the planet, Santa will once again slip that drunk driving charge and It's A Wonderful Life will continue to attract viewers mistakenly drawn by a false memory that it is a warmhearted and humane picket fence picture and not at all a nihilistic, existentialist "French" movie in disguise. And now that I realise it's not after all three hours long [that's the other one I've never seen, the one with Clark Gable and Vivien Leigh], I may finally get to watch The Wizard Of Oz all the way through.

Absolutely not. Being on tour is doing 500 shows a year while still finding time to record a cracking new album, give Oscar-winning film performances and submit to a thousand variations on the "Are you really a bunch of indolent drunks?" question for the ladies and gentlemen of The Press.

To Anaheim? It's possible. Los Angeles, not so much. I'd choose S.F. or Las Vegas over The City of Angels.

Last year I was acting responsible and only saw one Vegas show, I'm so over that facade now.
